GRAVEYARD PT. II
GRAVEYARD
The world is black. And then you blink at your plate.
A portion of your favorite dish greets your eyes, albeit in a form you may never have seen it in before. Encased in a thick, wobbling layer of multi-colored gelatin, the food you know and love now sits suspended in its protein-based enclosure as an eccentric re-imagining of the dish. Furthermore, it only takes a glance to see that the rest of the dining table's spread shares this same theme, as every single dish, sweet or savory, finds itself victim to a jiggling Jell-o jail.
Still, you won't have much time to take this all in before a quiet, high-pitched giggling makes its way to your ears, only crescendoing in volume the longer you sit in this oh-so-familiar dining room. It doesn't take much to find the source of the sound either; unlike the other side, this place is absolutely teeming with fairies to the point where the fluttering of their iridescent wings is clearly audible behind the din of their laughter. As you come to your senses, dozens and dozens of beady eyes watch with their tiny faces stretched out in a wide grin, before speaking in unison.
"Welcome, we can't wait to serve you!"
As the fairies erupt in raucous laughter all around you, at least one more thing is readily apparent: however you met your end, your body is completely whole again. You also have company at the table with you, although whether it's desirable company or not may depend on the circumstances surrounding your death.
In any case, there's nothing stopping anyone from leaving the dining room and roaming freely as usual, and most of the same areas that were available to you on the other side are still present here, albeit with some differences. And though your life may have been stolen from you, it still looks like you have a part in this tale, somehow, someway.
So, will you let your story finish here, or will you write your own ending?

I donāt get it. Whatās the point of that stupid thing betraying us?

All I can think of is, she might be trying to throw us under the bus to get herself out of a bad deal.
[ Not that he's convinced she's telling the truth anymore... ]
You think we could figure out a way to escape through that rift instead?

I assume they're still weak to salt.

[ ⦠]
Salt might work. Maybe an iron weapon to keep them down. [ ⦠] But it doesnāt make sense. None of the information weāve gotten seems to be fake either. Iām not stupid enough to believe that theyāre going to help us free of charge but⦠are they one hundred percent loyal to theā¦void thing?

Local Lost Caporegime AMA
What do you know about Ferry, so far?
[Feel free to ask him things too, heās just out here to gather info himself as well because rolling into graveyard in endgame is a lot!!]

Her original role should have been to obey him, as the others do unconditionally.
It seems she has found a way to use this to her advantageā¦
[Thoughtfully⦠why does he sound kind of impressed.]

So far as I know, she is meant to watch the shop, oversee the dead, and lead them around in circles rather than giving them anything actually productive.
[ā¦]
My guess is that she used knowledge of the so-called traitors to gain trust, stringing you all along with lies about the scale of the game and our importance. In doing so, she could count on you to cooperate with her for that period of time.
Then, her own plans must rest upon using the dead ā either to stock the crystals that she calls seals and that B calls sustenance, or something beyond that as well.

The role of the caporegimes was quite simple and consisted of only two requirements:
We were to select the effects that would rule the living each week. The increase in desires, the decrease in mobility, the visions in reflections, and so on. Those were our doing together with Hamelinās music.
Otherwise, we were to ensure there would be at least one murder each week until the end of the game. So long as someone else killed, we would not move. Thus, the only reason we moved in the last week was to fulfill our duty in the game.
Any other impressions you may have of our role is likely a fabrication.

When we broke off from the crystal investigation...we found a workshop, and there were several sketches of fairies. One matched the appearance of the fairies we've seen around, but this one was what stood out to me the most.
[Rika sets a crossed out half sketch of a fairy, and points out the writing in the corner.]
"She says sheāll know the customers best, so sheāll handle her appearance herself." I assume this refers to Ferry.

That begs the question of whether Ferry is one of the fairies at all, or whether she merely took on that appearance to fit in. Also, I have my doubts that āFerryā is her true name.
[As far as pseudonyms go itās kind of so lazy it almost seems realā¦ā¦]

[He turns this over thoughtfully, though, despite the lack of context.]
I'm not sure if we can conclude that Ferry is a human if she is a shapeshifter of some sort as you mentioned. Indeed, this may be the first game of its kind, but B must always eat -- that may be what the insect's note meant by "previous bottles of sustenance".
There are several questions that come to mind, given all of this: what was B's old mode of obtaining sustenance? Why did it change? If she is so powerful, why must she enlist Hamelin and Ferry as her helpers or underlings?
