End Game

The world is black. And then you blink at your plate.

A portion of your favorite dish greets your eyes, albeit in a form you may never have seen it in before. Encased in a thick, wobbling layer of multi-colored gelatin, the food you know and love now sits suspended in its protein-based enclosure as an eccentric re-imagining of the dish. Furthermore, it only takes a glance to see that the rest of the dining table's spread shares this same theme, as every single dish, sweet or savory, finds itself victim to a jiggling Jell-o jail.

Still, you won't have much time to take this all in before a quiet, high-pitched giggling makes its way to your ears, only crescendoing in volume the longer you sit in this oh-so-familiar dining room. It doesn't take much to find the source of the sound either; unlike the other side, this place is absolutely teeming with fairies to the point where the fluttering of their iridescent wings is clearly audible behind the din of their laughter. As you come to your senses, dozens and dozens of beady eyes watch with their tiny faces stretched out in a wide grin, before speaking in unison.

"Welcome, we can't wait to serve you!"

As the fairies erupt in raucous laughter all around you, at least one more thing is readily apparent: however you met your end, your body is completely whole again. You also have company at the table with you, although whether it's desirable company or not may depend on the circumstances surrounding your death.

In any case, there's nothing stopping anyone from leaving the dining room and roaming freely as usual, and most of the same areas that were available to you on the other side are still present here, albeit with some differences. And though your life may have been stolen from you, it still looks like you have a part in this tale, somehow, someway.

So, will you let your story finish here, or will you write your own ending?

FERRY'S EXPLORATION

[Ferry's exploration will take place at the ice maze. Please comment here to start!]

[His first and last investigation on this side. He'll try to be as helpful as he can, at least.

First step is opening those double doors? Hopefully they're not too heavy he's kind of a weenie still.]

[ Nageki's here with a fluffy capelet, salt, two magnifying glasses, matches and small explosive candies, because this is his life now. But not the moving heavy doors part--let's leave that to somebirdie else who isn't a tiny sick birb. ]

[ liam is here with a sword JUST IN CASE after what happened last time he's not taking any other chances!!!! and he's also in a coat because freezing to death is not cool also. ]

[ ah... the ice maze. last time ferry seemed pretty bothered by getting wet, so he'll offer her his ribbon. surely that will help with the cold!!

otherwise he's got himself, some salt, and a blade. let's go! ]

[Gin will join the procession!! Maybe even help with the door, since he's both strong and not armed with salt unless someone shared some.]

[ She's here again with.. a lot of stuff in her bag, including a slingshot (with various ammo) for anyone who needs it, salt, magnifying glasses, etc. As she's suspected though, it's here, huh? ]

[Ferry nods and murmurs a quiet thanks when Lucifer offers the ribbon, but they won't have any other words aside from the usual encouragement until they return.

As they all walk off to open the door, they'll find that while it's heavy, it's no real match for their combined strength. And as it opens up, it reveals an elaborately carved chamber resembling a hall of an actual castle all completely to scale. As grandiose as it is, there only really seems to be a couple things to examine: which ends in another set of double doors at the end, and one of the walls which seems to have something engraved on it.]

[Well, he's an art and carvings person, so it makes sense for him to immediately head toward the engraving on the wall to take a look at it.]

[The engravings in the wall are completely stately and not probably drawn like this but this is the best approximation fishy mods can make at depicting it. So here you go.]

[Huh.

Suga at least has paper, so he copies the drawing down as best as he's able. Pear + sick face, narrow point in a river, one (1) decapitated head. Got it.]

[Gin will head to the door to see if there's anything interesting over there.]

[Y'all enjoy doors huh. Anyways, they can confirm that this door appears to be unmovable but there is a plaque that says "HEED THE WORDS WRITTEN IN ICE AND SPEAK THEM ALOUD IF YOU WISH TO PASS".

Yep.]

"Need ta speak the words written in ice," huh? Sounds like somethin' ta see our little friends over there for.

[A call out to the other group] Well? What've ya got there?

[Brings the drawing over! Everybody can huddle.]

[ clearly this door is ableist, since you have to speak the words to open the door!!! also handwaving the huddle bc y'know. ]

[ luckily they're all prepared for war (ish) huh ]

[Ding ding ding!

The large double doors slowly open without a sound, leading them deeper into the maze. Although honestly, maze really isn't quite the right word at this point, considering how it simply opens into a very wide, round chamber with three doors situated around it. There's one each on the left, on the right and a final one straight ahead.
