It's been a long stay.

Seven weeks have elapsed since the gates to Aira Niluc were opened to guests of various worlds, and for seven weeks a game of trust and betrayal have whittled the living's numbers down until only a mere third remained on that side. And in exchange, the population of the dead grew as they continued their story on this side.

But the story is coming to a close, almost as if the world itself demands it.

Because sometime Friday morning, oddities start to become apparent within the fabric of this space: buildings starting to deteriorate as their colors start to fade, foods beginning to molder and rot, trees and mountains far in the background flickering briefly show sketch-like outlines before reverting back to normal. While most of the main locations remain fairly intact, there is no area on this side that lays untouched by the sense that this place is starting to unravel, bit-by-bit.

Still, the walls that separate you all from the living hold fast even now, not allowing any of the dead to cross through into the other side.

Perhaps that's not the point here, though. After all, you all still have your own ending to write, here and now.

On the same day that we normally have a corpse or two, on the same day that Ferry has something to say to us... Well, that's a lot of coincidences, I must say.

[It probably isn't a coincidence.

But Jack also isn't committing to being especially serious about it -- one will end up with grey hairs worrying about things before it's time, and he doesn't have a single grey hair on him, so too bad. Then the bed comes into view and he bursts out laughing at McGillis' face. He really doesn't need to hear anything to see that.]

Ah, I almost feel bad. I really didn't need to be quite that bad at making a bed, did I? Well, what he doesn't know won't hurt.

[Jack did you fake the entire bed check. Shshhhh. Hidden lore.]

Oho? But I’ll have you recall, Lucifer made an absolutely perfect bed right there in front of everyone! Why, he even fixed the pillows.

Truly an example to all of us.

[It’s not actually mocking but he is half-laughing as he says it, just. Remembering how ridiculously spic & span the bed looked the entire time?!? Seriously, what are their lives here.]

... Eh? Doesn't that mean Lucifer is scarier than both of them...?

[That doesn't seem quite right? Though, he doesn't find Moriarty particularly scary either so it's really just Yor at this point. Maybe he is biased.]

[ Shaking his head. ] I don't know if I believe that. Every person in this world and any other has their own set of beliefs and values.

And regardless of my actions, I didn't want anyone to die in my place. [ Toward the end, he should have grabbed Morgan's hand and confessed to her. Ever since then he's lamented that he did not.

And he knows applying the word "fair" to any of his actions is somewhat contradictory when everything about them was unfair from the start. Unfair to Yor, unfair to WWX, unfair to the group itself. ]

Well, who wouldn’t? Under that circumstance. Though, it is not as though many of us could make an absolutely perfect one at any rate…

That check was a joke. No one needed to lie about it unless they wanted to prove how useless one of their basic life skills are.

Well, considering how many skills are expected of nobles, I don't mind being useless in at least one way!

[I mean, he's not, in this particular way; but also being a noble is hard work! Appreciate his hard work!! (no)]

Rich people... And this is partly why so many don't seem to like nobles.

[ Then again, Miss Tosaka was talking about a noble bird before that she was friends with? Feels like a long time ago now. ]
