GY ENDGAME POST
GRAVEYARD - END GAME
It's been a long stay.
Seven weeks have elapsed since the gates to Aira Niluc were opened to guests of various worlds, and for seven weeks a game of trust and betrayal have whittled the living's numbers down until only a mere third remained on that side. And in exchange, the population of the dead grew as they continued their story on this side.
But the story is coming to a close, almost as if the world itself demands it.
Because sometime Friday morning, oddities start to become apparent within the fabric of this space: buildings starting to deteriorate as their colors start to fade, foods beginning to molder and rot, trees and mountains far in the background flickering briefly show sketch-like outlines before reverting back to normal. While most of the main locations remain fairly intact, there is no area on this side that lays untouched by the sense that this place is starting to unravel, bit-by-bit.
Still, the walls that separate you all from the living hold fast even now, not allowing any of the dead to cross through into the other side.
Perhaps that's not the point here, though. After all, you all still have your own ending to write, here and now.
[Welcome to the Graveyard's Endgame post! The previous posts for Weeks 2-5 and Weeks 6-7 have been linked above.]

Ferry, still inside the palace, lets out a groan as the force of the blasts and flames slow her down as she loses some footing and remains stuck at the entrance hall. She's certainly stunned right now at the least, and the flames are hungry devouring everything nearby, so... maybe that's a cue?]

but you know what they haven't tried? lightning. he'll grab one of the lightning orbs, throwing at ferry, not just to cause more damage, but just to keep the flames kindling around ferry. ]

[Rika throws a lightning orb at Ferry, hoping to continue throwing her off at least along with potentially more damage.]

[ YEETS A FIRE ORB AT FERRY. ]

You worms! Do you really believe your pathetic efforts would be enough to stop me? If you enjoy playing with magic so much, then perhaps I should give you a taste of real power, hmm?
[And she pauses, as a dark aura overtakes her form, which grows and grows until there's a truly gargantuan silhouette visible in the doorway, backed by the sight of dancing flames in the background. And with barely a movement, a giant gout of flame comes rushing forward at everyone who threw any kind of magic at her.]

In the midst of this mayhem, the palace continues to collapse and implode on itself with flaming debris dropping all around Ferry. And at some point, between the explosions, the orbs, the void damage, something has got to give.
And so, it does.
The palace finally and truly collapses as Ferry manages to let out a final surprised "What?!" as bits of unravelling matter fall down on her. And as if that's not enough, the earth itself starts to collapse by the palace, creating something of a great chasm as the void continues to expand and consume the building.
Maybe it's best you all get out of here now. Especially since the barrier has finally cracked and shattered through everyone's combined efforts, so the way is open.]

[ because once the barrier is broken they're absolutely making a beeline for the horses.
anyone who can't ride is either getting a ride in the horse cart or saddleside with someone who can, and while he doesn't say where they're all heading towards so that ferry can't chase them too easily, they're all moving in the direction of the rift by the gelataria. ]
