GY ENDGAME POST
GRAVEYARD - END GAME
It's been a long stay.
Seven weeks have elapsed since the gates to Aira Niluc were opened to guests of various worlds, and for seven weeks a game of trust and betrayal have whittled the living's numbers down until only a mere third remained on that side. And in exchange, the population of the dead grew as they continued their story on this side.
But the story is coming to a close, almost as if the world itself demands it.
Because sometime Friday morning, oddities start to become apparent within the fabric of this space: buildings starting to deteriorate as their colors start to fade, foods beginning to molder and rot, trees and mountains far in the background flickering briefly show sketch-like outlines before reverting back to normal. While most of the main locations remain fairly intact, there is no area on this side that lays untouched by the sense that this place is starting to unravel, bit-by-bit.
Still, the walls that separate you all from the living hold fast even now, not allowing any of the dead to cross through into the other side.
Perhaps that's not the point here, though. After all, you all still have your own ending to write, here and now.
[Welcome to the Graveyard's Endgame post! The previous posts for Weeks 2-5 and Weeks 6-7 have been linked above.]

Well, for the time being we are trapped here on this side with her -- our first priority should be to keep the crystal secure, which means keeping its holder intact.
[Seriously, let's not let the angel walk into any more fires!! Thanks!!!]
Other than that, noncombatants should take refuge... And combatants should start figuring out her weaknesses. We have a number of tools around the different areas that we may be able to use. [...] That being said, I think we may be able to safely say she is immune to salt and iron...

I don't think she's indestructible, though, so physical attacks with whatever weapons we have should probably be considered a last resort...
[ close combat doesn't seem like a good idea. ]
... We should probably do an inventory of what we have. Weapons, items, magic-- any little bit would help.

[ okay give him a bit to. calm down. a little. ]
There’s a hidden door to her cellar. I don’t know if… it’s a good idea but…I’ve been there before. If we absolutely need more stuff.

[ closes eyes. there is the beginnings of a plan forming, probably. when he speaks, it's sharp, but it's more because of urgency than anything. ]
Who went with you into the cellar, and how many people do you think you can bring in without being seen? It may be our best chance of having a fighting chance, especially since the back of the store is destroyed and we'll have to take a chance on the cellar and whatever is left in there still being intact.

[ he closes his eyes, thinking. ]
Rika and I were the ones that actually went inside. I don’t think that we could take more than three people without being noticed, unless someone manages to make a really good distraction.

I'm very quiet
+ you'd be worried about me if I wasn't where you could see me anyway

We should have enough people to give you a fairly good distraction if you need one.

[Look what y'all did, y'all turned a perfectly good musician into an explosives maniac.]
Since we seem to be the only two who may ride proficiently -- we should probably think about how to use that to coordinate the groups.

I've also got a bow on me, should we need ta go fer ranged attacks.

How are you at archery on horseback, and just how good is your aim in general? If there is anything I know about monsters, it is that their weak spot is their eyes, all the same.

Anyway, Raven just winks at that.]
Oh, pretty decent. Honestly, Ferry bein' a big ol' ugly monster makes this all the easier ta deal with.

I only have my sword, and like you mentioned, I doubt I'm proficient enough with it on horseback, so I think our abilities may be best utilised for coordinating and, if worst come to worst, we may have to lead Ferry on a merry chase away from her target.

I really did not imagine it would end up this way... Honestly, a Chain would be a far better asset here than anything, but we take what we can get.
I am sure we can coordinate well enough to at least distract her in the meantime.

We'll have ta get the holder back, and assign some combatants as protection while some focus on retaliation.

It may be best to keep the group small, but if you run into any trouble -- at least one of you can get to us on horseback or perhaps set off some sort of signal to ask for reinforcements.

Duly noted. We shall do our utmost.

I prefer ta fight smart-- hit 'n run tactics work best for that, so evasion is included. [A pause to mull over whether he was sharing and, well] If I had shinsou in its complete form, we probably wouldn't need much else, but that's been true for a lot of these weeks.
