GRAVEYARD

The world is black. And then you blink at your plate.

A portion of your favorite dish greets your eyes, albeit in a form you may never have seen it in before. Encased in a thick, wobbling layer of multi-colored gelatin, the food you know and love now sits suspended in its protein-based enclosure as an eccentric re-imagining of the dish. Furthermore, it only takes a glance to see that the rest of the dining table's spread shares this same theme, as every single dish, sweet or savory, finds itself victim to a jiggling Jell-o jail.

Still, you won't have much time to take this all in before a quiet, high-pitched giggling makes its way to your ears, only crescendoing in volume the longer you sit in this oh-so-familiar dining room. It doesn't take much to find the source of the sound either; unlike the other side, this place is absolutely teeming with fairies to the point where the fluttering of their iridescent wings is clearly audible behind the din of their laughter. As you come to your senses, dozens and dozens of beady eyes watch with their tiny faces stretched out in a wide grin, before speaking in unison.

"Welcome, we can't wait to serve you!"

As the fairies erupt in raucous laughter all around you, at least one more thing is readily apparent: however you met your end, your body is completely whole again. You also have company at the table with you, although whether it's desirable company or not may depend on the circumstances surrounding your death.

In any case, there's nothing stopping anyone from leaving the dining room and roaming freely as usual, and most of the same areas that were available to you on the other side are still present here, albeit with some differences. And though your life may have been stolen from you, it still looks like you have a part in this tale, somehow, someway.

So, will you let your story finish here, or will you write your own ending?

Zat is actually better zan expected, considering what vas discussed at the trial. It vas theorized and generally believed you hat actually tried to confront who you believed to be the traitors-specifically vone of zose two-ant tried to kill zem, only for zem to turn the tables.

Even ignoring how stupid that would be to do with a DULL SWORD I told them I wasn't going to murder anyone Do they think I'm a liar?

Despite stating that he's feeling better now, Pericles just...can't let it be. Not completely, anyway.

Suga can feel that weight on his shoulder shift closer to his head, as the Professor lightly leans against Suga in an attempt at comfort.]

I am...grateful, to know you are feeling better, regardless of ze reasoning.

[Ah.

Suga manages a tiny smile and reaches up to give Pericles a light scritch. Do birds like scritches? He hopes so.]

I promise I'm not going anywhere And I take my promises seriously

[He doesn't make any comments about the scritches, so perhaps he does.]

May I ask how the trial for myself vent? I have not actually heard how sings occurred during zat time. Or woult you prefer ve switch conversation topics?

Oh We figured out that it was Alexei's sword And Alexei tried to get executed But I could tell it wasn't him and Raven was suspicious Eventually Raven submitted to a body check and his chest was injured Technically the majority voted for Alexei But there were two abstains and Hamelin decided to kill Raven instead

[So Raven very nearly did not fuck up by dying. Alas.]

[Just. Immediately getting angry at the mention of Alexei because can that man ever not be terrible]

Zat man is lucky he did not join us in the afterlife, ozervise he woult have found it qvite miserable.

Dit you know he actually ordered Raven to kill? Despite knowing of his importance to our situation, he chose his own desires over basic common sense-even zough he was apparently villing to die for his wish.

I learned afterward I didn't know Raven had a role until later (Tenn didn't tell his group until after? That might have affected our vote, Tenns??) There's a point where not wanting to get your own hands dirty passes pathetic and just becomes stupid

Incompetence, perhaps? Training does not translate to actual competence. Someone who has tried to be a comedian for years could still be horrible wis jokes.

It does not help zat, going by your own description, luck seemed to play a significant part in you dying.
