GRAVEYARD PT. II
GRAVEYARD
The world is black. And then you blink at your plate.
A portion of your favorite dish greets your eyes, albeit in a form you may never have seen it in before. Encased in a thick, wobbling layer of multi-colored gelatin, the food you know and love now sits suspended in its protein-based enclosure as an eccentric re-imagining of the dish. Furthermore, it only takes a glance to see that the rest of the dining table's spread shares this same theme, as every single dish, sweet or savory, finds itself victim to a jiggling Jell-o jail.
Still, you won't have much time to take this all in before a quiet, high-pitched giggling makes its way to your ears, only crescendoing in volume the longer you sit in this oh-so-familiar dining room. It doesn't take much to find the source of the sound either; unlike the other side, this place is absolutely teeming with fairies to the point where the fluttering of their iridescent wings is clearly audible behind the din of their laughter. As you come to your senses, dozens and dozens of beady eyes watch with their tiny faces stretched out in a wide grin, before speaking in unison.
"Welcome, we can't wait to serve you!"
As the fairies erupt in raucous laughter all around you, at least one more thing is readily apparent: however you met your end, your body is completely whole again. You also have company at the table with you, although whether it's desirable company or not may depend on the circumstances surrounding your death.
In any case, there's nothing stopping anyone from leaving the dining room and roaming freely as usual, and most of the same areas that were available to you on the other side are still present here, albeit with some differences. And though your life may have been stolen from you, it still looks like you have a part in this tale, somehow, someway.
So, will you let your story finish here, or will you write your own ending?

[ around noon, c-ta has decided to go back to the rifts to snoop on people. maybe it's because he's, to put it simply, naturally good at snooping, maybe it's because he wants to take a closer look at them. either way, he'll be around a rift that shows an image of the lounge. â]
Heh. We should have had this access ages ago.
Rest of the day
[ but where is he, the rest of the day? well, he can be found loitering around almost anywhere, actually. he's more or less wandering about, still full of nervous energy from yesterday's antics.
however late at night he'll be found in the archives, his back pressed against one of the bookshelves. ]

He was looking for specific people to check on, but guess he'll talk to the kid too. ]

[ he shifts glances between the rift and riku. ]

[ He doesn't dare move any closer to the rift. But he wants to, so badly. He's glad to see Tenn outside of the trials, but...

Ah, his chest hurts. ]
But they're still moving forward... I'm glad...

[ he says it, but part of him has a hard time believing it. especially with these news. ]

He hates being so close to Tenn and the others, but so far away. He wants to tell Tenn to his face now that he's proud. That he believes in him. It feels like it's been a lifetime since he was able to talk to Tenn with his own voice--with the voice he's shared with so many people.
He looks to C-ta, determined, and he nods. He's been a burden too long. He's made trouble for too many people; his illness has affected more than just him.
But not anymore--because Riku is still here. ]
That's right. We can't give up now. We'll keep getting up and running, even if we get knocked down. Whatever happens, we'll prove that we can't be erased that easily.
[ He holds his fist out for C-ta... ]

but he can at least pretend that he does. pretend until it becomes real.
he nods, raising his fist to bump it against rikuâs. ]
