GRAVEYARD PT. II
GRAVEYARD
The world is black. And then you blink at your plate.
A portion of your favorite dish greets your eyes, albeit in a form you may never have seen it in before. Encased in a thick, wobbling layer of multi-colored gelatin, the food you know and love now sits suspended in its protein-based enclosure as an eccentric re-imagining of the dish. Furthermore, it only takes a glance to see that the rest of the dining table's spread shares this same theme, as every single dish, sweet or savory, finds itself victim to a jiggling Jell-o jail.
Still, you won't have much time to take this all in before a quiet, high-pitched giggling makes its way to your ears, only crescendoing in volume the longer you sit in this oh-so-familiar dining room. It doesn't take much to find the source of the sound either; unlike the other side, this place is absolutely teeming with fairies to the point where the fluttering of their iridescent wings is clearly audible behind the din of their laughter. As you come to your senses, dozens and dozens of beady eyes watch with their tiny faces stretched out in a wide grin, before speaking in unison.
"Welcome, we can't wait to serve you!"
As the fairies erupt in raucous laughter all around you, at least one more thing is readily apparent: however you met your end, your body is completely whole again. You also have company at the table with you, although whether it's desirable company or not may depend on the circumstances surrounding your death.
In any case, there's nothing stopping anyone from leaving the dining room and roaming freely as usual, and most of the same areas that were available to you on the other side are still present here, albeit with some differences. And though your life may have been stolen from you, it still looks like you have a part in this tale, somehow, someway.
So, will you let your story finish here, or will you write your own ending?
[Welcome to the Graveyard! This is part 2 of the GY post for Weeks 6 and 7. The previous post for Weeks 2-5 is linked above. Please also view the GY doc linked above for a full rundown of the basics. You may also still submit for items and gacha rolls using the GY shop post.]

Until he awakens and the absolute swarm of cackling fairies jolts him enough to send him toppling backwards in his chair.]

[He tried to prepare for being executed but it occurs to him now that he did not at all actually prepare to see the dead in person again.
...and then she gets that Look on her face and he suddenly feels very Afraid.
He offers the weakest laugh imaginable.]
D-Do I, now...?
no subject
Of course, since you had a important role and all that. I hope you'll explain to us all very thoroughly your actions this week and before.

[Rika is a little behind Samidare, seething a little.]
I really hope you didn't waste our efforts to keep you hidden on purpose.
no subject
Whaddya mean keep me hidden? [Wait, take 2.] Th-the notes? Y'all were tryin' ta...?
[O O F.]
no subject
Of course, assuming you're what you claim to be.
[Rika walks a bit closer, deliberately stepping on the loose cloth of his coat in case he tries to scramble away from her.]
So you better hope you have some worthwhile information for the people stuck here. We can't afford to keep guessing.

You certainly don't make things easy, do you.
[ ..... it's kind of hard to tell whether she's mad or not. ]

It isn't any easier now that she has approached him, though. He stares up at her for a moment, then sighs and lowers an arm over his eyes.]
That's just how Schwann Oltorain is.
[He speaks like it wasn't Raven at all who attacked Morgan and ended her life.]
But to yer credit, ya made sure he didn't get away with it.
no subject
And yet you are here, and he is not.
[ She tilts her head slightly. ]
Or is he?
[ She's actually curious about that part about her making sure he didn't get away with it (was it what she hit that somehow wasn't fatal?), but. One thing at a time. ]

Since he has an idea of what's to come, he will hold out a bottle of liquor.
SkydwellersHumans seem to enjoy imbibing when bad things are happening (and good things), so surely this will make a wonderful gift?! ]Greetings, Raven. I brought you something to soothe your spirit.

He sniffles and reaches out for the bottle.]
Thanks, Lucifer. I know we didn't talk that much back in the land of the livin', but you're a real pal, ya know that?

Riku isn't exactly angry like the others. He is upset, because Raven... Tenn had trusted him, after all. And Raven had gone and done that.
... Okay, so maybe he is kind of mad. Riku catches him at some point, after the others have accosted him... ]
Raven-san....
[ He just looks Sad. ]
no subject
Raven knew what crossing over to this side meant, but he still wasn't prepared to see Riku again.]
Hey, kiddo...
[He isn't sure what else to say at first. So he'll just start with,]
I've probably got a lot of explainin' ta do, huh?
[He definitely owes Riku that much.]
no subject
Raven-san... I don't think you're a bad person. So-- so why--
[ He takes a deep breath. ]
Whatever you have to say.... I'll listen.
