It's been seven weeks, and the game has come to a close. Thank you everyone for joining us on this crazy ride, and we hope you had a good time! Nevertheless, we know we're not perfect; far from it, so we invite you guys to give us some feedback on how it went!

What did you like? What didn't you like? What could we have done better? Are there any other comments you would like to add? Feel free to tell us anything that's been on your mind during this game, and we'll do our best to address it.

All comments are screened by default, although they can be unscreened upon request!

END GAME OOC INFO

Sat, 10 Jul 2021 13:45:17 GMT

THE ENDGAME CHAPTER BEGINS

What a story it's been so far, friends. But all things good and bad must come to an end, and it's time to finally fight the evils of Aira Niluc.

First of all, congratulations if you've survived this far! You're at the final chapter and what ending you write will be entirely up to you. That is to say, there's a possibility of bad, neutral, and golden ends all of which will be dictated by player actions in endgame.

Here's what endgame schedule looks like:

FRIDAY: Investigation

Characters will split up into three groups of 3-4, based on an OOC basis of schedules. The available slots are as follows:

TEAM A: 3pm EST Start
TEAM B: 6pm EST Start
TEAM C: 8PM EST Start

Teams will be player decided, so please have 1 person comment to the TEAM subheader once you've decided who is going where. There is no missing evidence in the final investigation either!

SATURDAY: Trial

The trial portion of the endgame will begin at 12pm EST. Characters will be given the first hour (12pm-1pm EST) to discuss their investigation findings among each other before the final confrontation will begin. After that, well, you'll see. Right now we anticipate final trial being split into 2 parts, but as always the course of the story will be up to each of you. There's no OOC time limit for this and we anticipate final trial being completed in one day.

WHAT IF I'M UNABLE TO TAKE PART IN THE ENDGAME?

If for any reason you cannot make final investigation or trial, please contact the mods. One of the requirements for Golden End is the participation of every single surviving character, which equates to a minimum of 15 comments on the final trial.

ONE LAST THING:

Please comment to this post in lieu of AC and to confirm you've read the above. As always, if you have any questions feel free to ask!

Trial 2 Postmortem

Sun, 13 Jun 2021 00:34:37 GMT

Hello everyone! This week, one of the cases in Once Upon has ended in a scapegoat result. As this is a scapegoating game, we do expect this as a possibility for any case, but upon reflection, we do feel that we as mods have contributed to this result in the way we have mishandled certain situations during the course of the trial and investigation.

For example, there were multiple points where we had given out evidence incorrectly, which affected how certain parts of the case would be interpreted. Due to that, you guys lost precious time for discussion since you needed to wait for corrections. Furthermore, we understand that the instructions for voting were confusing and alarming to hear particularly at the end of the trial, which made an already stressful situation worse. Lastly, we also acknowledge that we as a moderating team have the responsibility of making sure that all cases are fair for all players and that ultimately, the buck stops at us. The moderator team of Once Upon apologizes profusely for our mistakes and will take measures to avoid making those same mistakes in the future.

We also want to make it clear and reassure players that due to the issues mentioned above, all the abstains were specifically counted for SQ, as having Yeager scaped for this case would be unfair. In future cases, we will be moving forward with a simple 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. majority to decide voting results and not counting abstains.

In addition, we would also like to leave this space as a place for feedback about the cases so far. Please feel free to discuss with us any concerns and thoughts that you may have, because we want to make this game an enjoyable experience for everyone. Please don't hesitate to be honest, especially if it helps the game improve. We as a mod team are here to listen and take into account your feedback.

By default the incoming comments are screened, however, if you'd like your comment to be unscreened please feel free to note it in your post and we will get it done right away.

Thank you very much for your time, and thank you for playing in Once Upon.
